nationals warmup - 3 in a row

As D. is out of town, I decided to fence 3 days in a row (Friday-Saturday-today) to see how well I did.
Oh, I'm gonna pay:
Day 1 - evening open fencing that I do most Fridays, after work and a light dinner. Fence on and off for ~2 hours. Results: good workout, gear soaked through, bit tired and thirsty afterwards.
Day 2 - afternoon open fencing/informal advanced class with different coach that I don't usually do. Fenced 2ish hours a couple of hours post lunch. Got to fence a different set of people that I don't usually practice with and take a lesson in disruptive blade work that was hard to grasp at first but somewhat instructive. Results: good workout, gear getting a bit foul, feet prickly (ice afterwards), back knee sticky.
Day 3 - Sunday morning open fencing that I usually do, but that I clearly experience differently after 2 days "on":
During first bout my left foot plantar fasciitis goes "spang" and my calf seizes up to compensate. Break + tasty chocolate granola (hey, only a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast!) and liberal slathering of Icy Hot later I hold it together for another hour. Then I started to fall apart.
Part of this was because V. had us doing a mock competition and was getting rather control-freaky about it, due to lack of time/suspicion that we're doing it wrong. One bout after another + navigating coachly interference = brain tired, also foot is acting up again. Walk around while reffing (because standing still/sitting on flimsy stool makes my back act weird) and waiting for my first DE, which took awhile as the chart had to be rejiggered around new people arriving/pool people departing.
Nibbling tasty chocolate granola does nothing after awhile. Note to self - need something less sweet/more substantial for competition days/multiple days of fencing. Perhaps sandwich, perhaps blood of innocents (do I know any of the latter?)
Finally - DE! V. rushes us because he needs the floor for upcoming group lesson (this goes counter to his usual instructions to be patient). I am gasping for air and doing large, stupid footwork. Note with disappointment how even slightest physical discomfort seems to completely derail my concentration.
Happily, do not completely tank DE, losing 4-10, am completely spent and wanting to go home... but wait, there's more! V. wants me to fence off for 3rd. I stay on strip (yeah, probably should have taken a break, but hey, pushing my limits is why I'm doing this) to go for another 10.
Lose that one too, but not as bad - 6-10. At end of my mental rope I managed to pick out a couple of things to get me 2 more touches even though my foot is pinging. A tiny victory.
After 3 days, post shower/lunch: Tired, bruised, feet still pinging furiously. Gear completely disreputable and so in the wash. I was going to try to go to a street festival this afternoon but in light of a tornado warning + angry feet, I think I'm gonna stay home, ice my feet, and sew.
