Captain Alatriste trailer

Mostly for [livejournal.com profile] jlsjlsjls, though I imagine she's seen it already.

Have just started the first book of the series, and in English translation it's a beautiful read and I'm not even into the first chapter and it's already involving.

Curious about the movie even though the only review I've seen says it wasn't that good. Still, rapier + dagger + Viggo Mortensen can't be a total loss.

Looks interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to say about the book when you've finished it.

No, I hadn't seen that one ... thank you. An English-language trailer is a very promising sign, plus seeing the different scenes and subtitles here confirm that the film has ssome material from the first book, with bits and pieces of background from the others ***off to IMDB to see if there's new news***

Glad to hear volume one has grabbed you that early ... hope that continues all the way to the last page. :-)

Oh my! New info up at IMDB in the user comments ... the film is a combo of the first five novels! (4 & 5 have yet to be translated into English)

How the blazes do they expect to shoehorn 5 books into one film??

Dunno ... guess we're gonna have to wait until we can see the movie to find out. :p
