Looks like "lechery Tuesday" is going to be a regular thing at Pandagon*; this week's installment is pretty roughnecks, featuring a couple of actors I've never heard of and half the male cast of Lord of the Rings**.

Having just re-watched the trilogy I've got to say I'm still on the Viggo bandwagon - talent, brains, AND looks (and a sword! And Alatriste! a handelbar moustache shouldn't look that sharp on anyone!) Sean Bean runs a close second.

If it seems a bit empty, don't worry - Jayne fans reprazent in the comments. And I include Hugh Jackman as Wolverine because clearly he fits the bill and it must have been an oversight.

*Pandagon's usual fare is provocative feminist blogging - definitely worth checking out, though I seem to link only to fluff :P

Milo Ventimiglia play Peter Petrelli in "Heroes". I don't recognize Takeshi Kaneshiro, but I think I need to remedy that. Yum. (Ah, wikipedia tells me he was in "House of Flying Daggers".)

And seriously, how did they overlook Jayne???

Ah! I didn't recognize Ventimiglia without Petrelli's forelock of floppy hair. I am kind of wondering whether Kaneshiro (and now I'm thinking, Jet Li and the other actor from "Hero") qualifies - pretty yes, swords, yes, but are they scruffy enough? No beards, you see....

As for Milo Whazzisface, he looks way too PoutyEmo for my tastes (this may also be that I find his character way too PoutyEmo) Frankly, if one is to represent for Heroes, I'll take Adrian Pasdar, thanks -- tho' he hardly qualifies as roughneck.

And can I replace the Japanese fellow with Ken Watanabe? Mmmm...Ken Watanabe...
