Aragog?

The first thing I thought when I saw this over at [livejournal.com profile] wcg's was "Jesus fscking holy Mary erugh, argh eek..."

Or some such.

Because 10" spiders that hunt in packs and keep frogs as pets just shouldn't exist in my little arachnophobic world. Something that big could keep people as pets [shudder]

Okay. That is just... wrong. I am officially and completely squicked out.

Ummm....I don't mind the normal house spider, and I have even taken on a couple brown recluse spiders with only a can of hairspray. But there is no way ANYONE will get me anywhere close to one of those bad boys!!! YUCK!!!!

And to think I freaked when a wolf spider dropped down from the ceiling one day....

Right there with ya...anything big enough for me to see it's legs provokes a gut response in me.

Yeah, I suppose I could go through desensitization training, but.... no.

Even worse, it dropped down in front of me in the bathroom when I was naked and almost blind (I was about to take a shower and was not wearing my glasses).

I screamed loud enough to freak the cats. Not sure what happened to the spider....

They have a pet ... that is so CUTE!!!!! ***from the girl who didn't freak when the jumping spider pounced on her hair as she rounded a corner in her kitchen or on the morning when she woke covered with hatchlings trying out their first webbing***

I think you just described my nightmares!!

Seriously, if a 10" spider wants me to clean out annoying ants or tap dance or whatever, I'm gonna do it. I pity that poor frog!

All I can think about is David Hedison stuck in the web in the original version of "The Fly" while that damned spider came after him!

Brrrrrrr x100!

The frog probably eats better than the spiders, getting all the best tidbits ... you know how pampered pets can be ... ;-)
