Most of y'all guessed my April fool - fencing masks are far too stable and padded for me to really get a cut lip (or anything else). Besides, the smallsword is the weapon of gentlemen and artists - we wouldn't hit each other in the head anyway! That'd be downright gauche....

Not a great Monday. Lots of worry, lots of loose ends, lots of irritating going/doing before I can chill this coming weekend(!)

But there was cake today. With chocolate mousse frosting and filling. So, at least, it was not ALL bad.

Mebbe not THAT obvious ... I've been re-reading Dilvish the Damned and may have been influenced by the bit where a chap in invincible armour is tripped up and has the fact that he COULD be stabbed (and killed) through the eyeslit pointed out to him ...
