Talked to C. this evening for the holiday. I expected her to be busy as she's, oh, moving across the country tomorrow, but given that she's done this several times before, she was already packed and prepped, whiling away the time with her fam before catching her flight tomorrow.

Because I refer to everyone by initials in this journal, I should clarify: this C. is my friend from way back in 6th grade, and her move tomorrow means this will be the first time we're living in the same town(ish) since we were about 15. I'm excited as well as nervous - she visited a couple of months ago, and we got along famously as always, but we've both grown up and changed a lot - this will be a big change for both of us!

I told her to let me know when she's ready to hang out - in addition to moving she's got a new time zone to adapt to, a new home to decorate, and a new job to break in. In time I hope to introduce her to some of y'all (BTW, she's the first person to put me onto "Lexx") :)

Wonderful!!!! I'd love to live in the same state as my best friend, even for a little while -- how lucky you are!

It is incredible great good luck for me - her dude just moved here, and she's following. In her travels we've had varying degrees of proximity but none under 4 hours, so having her in the suburbs of the same city is a real treat :)

A Lexx person can only be GOOD neighbour ... a Lexx person who's also a best buddy will be great. I'm thrilled for both of you. :D
