Didn't know the San Diego Zoo staff kept blogs. Might be worth checking out the rest of the site if you're an animal nut :)

It's very heartening to see how successful the breeding station has become. Hopefully the Chinese government will soon manage some sort of links between or expansion of the current small Giant Panda Reserves so that the bears be just as reproductively successful in the wild. :-)
