new addiction

I'm a sad, sad woman.

I meant to read most of the day - and I did, for several hours. I enjoyed it much and am glad I did it :)

But around 2 D. and I started watching a backlog of "House" episodes (new-ish medical drama starring Hugh Laurie) and except for a short break to go to the grocery we've watched it all day. Laurie's snark + exotic medical conditions are just too compelling to leave alone.

And Cuddy is hot. Luciously, exotically, firey hot.

At least I sewed through some of it...

Not sad at all ... Hugh Laurie is in the Rolls Royce ranking as an addiction. For all of October there was a huge billboard advertising the show, featuring a giant-sized Laurie portrait, complete with smirk, right behind my parking spot at work ... brightened going-home time on even the worst days (sadly, the show is on a cable tier I don't get ... but there will be DVDs in my hands one day ...)

Signed,

Serious Hugh Laurie addict who has even read his godawful novel (at least I didn't buy it, so there is hope for me) ;-)

Dr. Cuddy is played by Lisa Edelstein, who also appeared in a couple of episodes of Sports Night, and played a call-girl on "The West Wing", so Rivka and I keep making call-girl jokes whenever Cuddy does something that's a little risque, like wearing a tennis dress in a scene. :)

Edelstein is a vegan, which makes some of my more private thoughts about her... impractical, but we'll leave it at that. ;)
