and how can this thing be?

It's raining. Or, at least, it's BEEN raining, on and off since about 6. Driving home from work: hellishly hot, still, and bright. Getting out of car: heavy wind, heavier rain and frequent lightning, sky with dark, "end of the world"-type thunderheads.

The temperature has dropped ~20F in the past 3 hours. It is heaven :)

Glad to hear things are cooling off. :)

It's just beautiful here today... around 70F. I went running in the park and am now lurking on the internet, and noshing on Brie for breakfast. What a hard life I have...

Here at work we had a sudden, unbelivable torrential downpour, the kind that makes normal torrential downpours look like drizzle. That went away, but then a few minutes later the hail started up. ([livejournal.com profile] geekchick later said that the news had reported I think golf-ball sized hail in Montgomery County, which is where I work. I didn't see anything nearly that size though.) The whole thing was weird enough that I told [livejournal.com profile] vvalkyri "When it gets to frogs or fish, I'll start panicking."
