curious sports

Extreme croquet - no, I couldn't make this up! I can see where whacking plastic really hard through difficult terrain might hold some appeal after a long hard day of not being like Thurston Howell III :P I have to admit that the heavy-duty mallets and double points for jumping the upper half of a "double-wicket" is clever.

Cat agility - cute concept, but I don't think it needs to be said that any sport that relies on getting your cat to jump through a hoop... well, it's going to be slower than cricket :P

ROFL - might be easier for the cats to get the HUMANS to jump through the hoops.

Wait - you mean.....you DON'T jump through hoops for your cats?!

I'm the only one....?

:P

Um... er.... ah... well, my cats don't trust me with hoops yet.

Extreme croquet ... why do I keep thinking "Calvinball"? :p

Not sure - when I heard of it I instantly thought "Happy Gilmore" (hockey player turns golf pro, with loud, obnoxious un-golf-like results) :P

Had to dig for it, but yes ... some versions of Calvinball did involve croquet equipment! :p

Yep, that looks about right!

I'm thinking the agility the cat will demonstrate comes in the area of facial expressions. I can only *imagine* the looks most cats would give you if you tried to make them jump through anything!
