Latest edition of A.Non's cracked out dreams, volume n: Visiting a coffeehouse blessed with an obscure, difficult to decipher menu when really all I want is a coffee and a brownie. Waiter-person tries desperately to talk me into a la mode brownie when I insist I can't eat ice cream (yes, ladies and gents, I'm lactose-intolerant even in my dreams :P). Said waiterperson finally talks me into frozen yoghurt + brownie which winds up being a sticky, sugary mess of vanilla frozen yoghurt, chocolate brownie with chips and melted caramel.

Everyone gets mad at me because I'm so intent on figuring out the menu that I neglect to socialize. Finally get my order done and take a subway from the coffeehouse 20 feet to the next shop, where the dream dissolved into a diatribe against the American need for novelty and convenience, ending with amusement-park planes taking flight to shoot down pterodactyls.....

No, I can't MAKE this stuff up, except I evidently can when I'm asleep...

Nope, couldn't be the chocolate ... that only causes xxx-rated dreams. ;-)

I should be so lucky. Eating chocolate right before bed or as a late night snack is almost guaranteed to give me reflux. It's very weird, and it must be something specific to chocolate, becasue to get reflux otherwise I pretty much have to stuff myself with something as a late night snack. (e.g. 24+ ounces of mostly-liquid in one go, and going right back to bed after.)

On the plus side it's not the chronic leaky reflux, just the one time kind, which is way better imho.

Ouch :( No amount of chocolate is worth reflux. And the one-time is infinitely better than having it all the time!

Clearly I like chocolate a lot more than you do. Or at least am more addicted! ;)
