can someone tell me...

..why I would dream of a city in which it is customary, when going visiting, to wear plaid and take cheesy potatoes dyed the same colors of plaid as a housewarming gift?

Any dream analysis welcome, because I can't figure out where that one came from....

no, but...

I think I'd like to live there!

But can you imagine - what color would the potatoes be after it's mixed with red, green, black, yellow etc. food coloring? Not appetizing at all!

Silly - you STENCIL the plaid on to the potato pieces, then us a very mild (and light in color) cheese sauce.

Potato stencils!

You have just inserted into my gray matter the curious image of little hatch-mark stencils used to paint tidy, detailed setts on unsuspecting taters.....

You RULE!!!

With that colour combination, they'd likely look burned. Or else as if they're covered in gravy. :p

Have you been eating haggis just before bedtime?

[identity profile] anotheranon.livejournal.com 2004-12-28 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps. Electric blue haggis, no doubt :P

Nah... you've been eating FRUITCAKE!!! Admit it!!! Only something as toxic as fruitcake could give you technicolor, plaid dreams.

[identity profile] anotheranon.livejournal.com 2004-12-28 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
I can't eat fruitcake! Not American fruitcake, at least - my teeth would shatter into a million pieces!

[identity profile] jlsjlsjls.livejournal.com 2004-12-28 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, that electric blue haggis will do it every time ... worse than late-night cheese. Stick to the navy blue haggis with the bright pink trim for pre-bedtime snacking ... it's been scientifically proven to cause no side-effects. ;-)

You know.. navy blue late night cheese might VERY MUCH explain plaid potatoes....

Potatoes nothing! If you've been eating navy blue cheese at, that explains every weird dream you've ever had ... and ever will have. And any D. has as well! =o

It means you're craving cheesy potatoes. ;) Mmmmm, cheesy potatoes...

YUM!!!!! Hot mashed potatoes with a ton of grated cheese dumped in and stirred around until it's all melted and gooey. Plus some chopped chives (just because they smell so GOOD when they hit the hot veggies).

***checks fridge*** I have potatoes, I have chives, and I have old cheddar, medium gouda and smoked gouda ... now I have to decide which one to use tonight (maybe a bit of each?)
