WTF?!

Kerry CONCEDED??? What the fuck for? The votes haven't even been counted yet!

Beyond being disappointed that we've got four more years of Bush & Co (with a mandate, if a slight one. We've seen what he does with none :( ), but that Kerry gave in so easily.

I was so hopeful - "Kerry has 6 planefuls of lawyers on the tarmac ready to go for Nov. 2", I'd heard. I thought for sure he'd fight harder. Gore, to his credit, only gave in after a month and Supreme Court hearings. Kerry didn't even wait until the ink was dry on the ballots.

Fucker. Not only are we stuck with Bush now, but Kerry has dropped the ball for everyone who voted for him.

So, fellow Dems/liberals - what do we do now?

Hmm. The way I understood it, even if Kerry got 100% of the number of provisional ballots and as of yet uncounted Ohio votes, it wouldn't be enough to surpass Bush's lead in that state. And let's face it, there's no way Kerry would get 100% of those votes.

Did I miss something?

Go read Debbie's post. I hope it will give you some of the same hope it has given me.

I did read it, and it is hopeful. I certainly don't plan to stop living how I live and doing my thing, just because of the election. Far from it.

And while I agree that Kerry wasn't perfect, I am disappointed by his rolling over without a fight - it's as if almost everyone will bow to George II now :(

I'm actually more concerned that the Republicans have tightened their hold on the House and Senate. The only bright thing in all this is that every time the Republicans get power they inevitably do something greedy or just plain stupid and screw themselves out of the NEXT election. Oh, they'll talk about their "mandate from the people" and solemnly promise to clean up things in Washington, but tn minutes later they're twirling thier mustaches and laughing fiendishly - - they just can't help themselves! Any day now, Dick Cheney will buy a fluffy white cat which he will insist on petting dramatically during cabinet meetings or when he's about to screw someone over - -

This whole thing is just too damn scary for me.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada. If enough of you come up here, our population will be greater than that of the U.S. and we'll be able to invade openly and straighten the place out. :P

My sympathies and MUCHO MEGAHUGS to you all ... I know the Kerry solution was far from perfect too, but at least it would have given you all a breather and a chance to regroup.
