Photos from the RNC convention protests

This makes me happy. So does this. Lots more pix at Gothamist, but for some reason their site keeps redirecting me to their ads (??)

And yeah.. If I were in NYC I'd be taking the day off to be there...

Gee, d'ya think Bush will clue in that a lot of people aren't too pleased with him?

p.S. I'm getting a parsing error message screen when I try the gothamist link ... I think they may be having a problem or three ;P

New York City, especially. I think many of the inhabitatnts might have a problem with Bush & Co. so cynically using the city as a propoganda tool, though many conservative Republicans have little use for the values NYC embraces (diversity, freedom, and other "librul" social values)....

There's a lot of "undecideds" out there who'll go with what they perceive to be the flow. Images like this will nudge a few of 'em towards the "librul" vote.

I hope the "librul" vote will be seen as "the flow". I live in a very socially liberal county and region and if I didn't get anecdotes from people elsewhere it would be very easy for me to forget that everyone isn't like me!

anti-Bush rallies in NY is headline news in Sweden as well. both in the papers and on tv.

Glad to hear it :) I'm also glad the rest of the world knows that not ALL Americans agree lockstep with the current foreign policy!

yeah! and I have been thinking, perhaps something good is coming out of whole this Bush-thingie. the Americans unite in rallies and the Europeans have not got along so well in decades. all we needed was an ugly common enemy, and he did not even have to be an horrific alien like in Independence day ;)))
