future planning: SCA Boots

I've been looking for awhile for a site that carries over-the-knee boots in mens sizes and thanks to the targeted ads on Gmail the site found me!

One of my costume plans for D. involves doublet, breeches and these boots. It's one of the few times I'll make a concession to historical innaccuracy, just because I think D. would look very hot in them ;)

Similarly available for women, in case I ever need some serious swashbuckling gear :)

Strangely, I have yet to see any targeted ads on Gmail. Unless I'm completely dim. I must be that hard to target. LOL

I am, however, coveting those boots. They're very affordable. Of course, I'm convincing myself that they'd never fit on my ginormous calves.

I ignore most of my targeted ads, but the words "renaissance" and "costume" screamed at the corner of my weary eye this morning.....

Check the measurements for the boots - they have a whole separate section on sizing and seem quite precise. You never know!

I've got huge wonking calves and usually even boots for large calves don't fit (which is way depressing). Some day I will spend like $600 for a pair of custom boots/moccassins from one of the people who do that sort of thing at Ren Faires. But that's still a pipe dream. I will double check though. I've always dreamed of over the knee boots that fit me.
