on the bedside stack....

Spent much of the day reading - it's so good to have the time to kick back!

The Introvert Advantage - lots of "aha" moments :) The book does a lot of reassuring the reader that they're normal, which reads excessive to me because I've never felt that being introverted is a particularly bad thing, even if I do feel at a loss for words sometimes. Worth reading, if only to figure out how to keep from burning out on good company!

Under the Black Flag - a layman's history of piracy, focusing on the Caribbean in the 17th-18th century. Shipboard life could be brutal, but was surprisingly democratic. The reality is far more interesting than the romance :)

Ethical Slut - still moving slowly on this one, to take notes. A lot to chew on here.

Under the Black Flag

Have that one! Cordingly also did one called 'Women Sailors and Sailors' Women" which is a fun read, though I think Joan Druett's "She Captains" did a better job with the same subject.

UtBF has a chapter called "Women Sailors and Sailors' Women", so it doesn't surprise me he'd expand on the subject :) I'll look for both of these, thanks!
