It's June 5.

It's only 57 degrees F here (!)

In June. In the nation's capital, land of hot, muggy, sticky, hellish summers.

Even the cicadas have gone silent (likely, they've frozen to death - I imagine Brood XI in 17 years will be awfully thin at this rate)!

I had chalked up "The Day After Tomorrow" as "just a movie", but now I'm wondering...

It's a fair trade ... I'm finally getting SUMMER temps; it's been a whole two weeks since it last snowed and it's (checks thermometer on balcony) 26 degrees already today (that 78 in American degrees)!!!! Thanks for letting me know where our lousy weather wandered off to ... don't feel obliged to return it ***EVIL grin***

Yea! for 57! I'm coming tomorrow and that way I can wear my heavy sweatshirt instead of figuring out how to pack it! Yea!

Also, it's bloody hot here. Okay, so it's only 89 but I've been without air conditioning all morning.
