Meme-jumping: What's YOUR story?

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] indyansel, [livejournal.com profile] patgreene and others:

"I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal."

A friend and I once broke into the opening for "Monty Python's Flying Circus" in eighth grade when our English teacher paused too long after starting a sentence with "It's...". :-)

The teacher just waited until we got to the end of the "Liberty Bell" song before continuing her lecture.

:D I take it the teacher got the joke!

Actually, I'm not really sure. She looked a tiny bit annoyed, but waited until we were done. She was a great teacher, overall.

I really like making wreaths every December (it amuses me that Christianity appropriated the symbols from the pagans -- I hope it doesn't offend the pagans). I have two this year: the Advent wreath on the table with candles in it, and the door wreath which my youngest son started and then got bored with, leaving me to finish.

oooh, fun!

I'm adopted, a vegetarian, a Scorpio, Capricorn rising and I love cats. But you probably know most of that already.

I love macaroni and cheese and my most known quote is, "I'll sleep when I'm dead".

And, one time in band camp...

Hey!

I'm a vegetarian, a Scorpio, [Leo] rising and I love cats.

Not adopted (although sometimes it seems as if I must be).

And I do like spinach.

I'm a sucker for any food that involves gooey melted cheese (real cheese, not processed) and I adore having somebody else scrub my back in the shower. Give me either of these and I'm your slave ...

I'm deeply ethical, but completely and utterly amoral.

I lived in 4 states before I was four years old. I went to college with David Schwimmer. I never wear shoes at home. I really like cheese.

I'm a cat person who also likes dogs, I'm afraid of spiders and I collect Jack Chick tracts, which I find horribly amusing.

You can actually stand to read Jack Chick tracts?? I agree, they are amusing in a very sad sorta way, I guess it just freaks me because the guy is serious!

It's an acquired taste - - as I said, they are, quite literally, horribly amusing. They're horrible and entertaining in a sad, sick kind of way (except for the anti Catholic ones, which are merely horrible). That people actually think like that is a source of constant confuzzlement to me, it really is. My favorite was 'Dark Dungeons', the most inaccurate slander of role playing games I have ever seen. Murder, suicide, a secret cabal of warlocks - - I only wish my games were that entertaining! ;)

Three things about li'l ol' me...

At college I was in a band called "Spunkbucket".
I have a bad habit of losing cats.
I'll do anything for sushi.

I love sewing, reading and writing. I live in the South but I can't stand hot weather. I have four cats, but I'm not crazy, I swear!

I'm a swedish software engineer, mother of two, keep pets, fancy logic, get confuzzled by moodswinging people, try to treat others like I want them to treat me, am an atheist, love horror and scifi all while being an android fetishist and caffein addict. currently I'm wearing shoes two sizes too large when walking back and forth to the office. there :)

[identity profile] jlsjlsjls.livejournal.com 2003-12-14 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
BLINK!!! Nope, can't do it ... logical and too-large shoes does not compute.
