earth go crunch

Who would have thought my first earthquake would be out here? I had my feet propped up on my computer (yes, I know - bad me) at the time and assumed the shaking was someone in the adjacent cube moving stuff around. I didn't find out what it really was until one of my co workers broke the news.

Been back at work; trying to eat well and exercise. At long last, got my hair cut today, much needed as it was becoming limp, greasy, and unmanageable :/ I'm kind of tired and detached; not sure whether it's recent events, winter blahs, or both. At any rate, I've renewed my acquaintance with full-strength coffee and while my stomach isn't pleased, my eyelids are :P

My first earthquake (the first one when I was awake anyway) happened during in high school. I sat in front of a kid, who I otherwise wouldn't remember and I turned to scowl at him for kicking my chair. Then I noticed, luckily before I said something that everyone else was doing the "did you feel that?" thing. Seems the shock travelled diagonal to our classroom so only every other person horizontally or vertically felt it.

Crunching Earth

Wow - I'm impressed - a real earthquake! I'd heard about it on the news but didn't know the extent.

Tired and detached? You've been through too much these past 2 weeks, it's entirely understandable. Um - glad your eyelids are happy, but oooh, coffee tears my stomach up as well if I drink more than a cup a day. I usually get 1/2 cup and put water in to fill it up. But then, I'm a confirmed tea-addict, so I'm really not used to coffee much at all.

Just as well re: tea - I think it's supposed to be better for you, isn't it? Something about the tannic acid.

Unfortunately, I hate tea and like full-flavored coffee. I've tried watering down after the fact (drinking LOTS of water throughout the day) but the effects are negligible :P
