And Tuesday dawned cold and damp..

Well, perhaps not that cold, but it is raining :/

I hope today is better than yesterday. I was just in an "off" mood all day, cranky and aimless. I've reached a standstill with my sewing, waiting for corset supplies to come in - could it be I'm really THIS pathetic if I don't constantly have a full plate? Frack..

On the up side, I got an astonishing (counts on fingers)... 7 hours sleep last night! I've been madly reading "1421" and am impressed - this guy really went to a lot of effort to confirm his theories with evidence and with other scholars of medieval China. Review to come after I finish, but meanwhile check out the associated website.

The fencing welts on my leg have settled into bruises and while fencing bumps are not entirely foreign to me, they are injuries and I'm trying to heal them up. Arnica gel and glutamine are good things.

Time to make the donuts....

It's chilly and damp in Chicago too.

Welts? Seems to me that anything you do for fun shouldn't leave welts... Bruises I can understand but welts? Just sounds too painful.

Nah, with fencing if you don't get a little banged up, you're doing it wrong :P Seriously - with any sport, injuries are a risk. At least it's not something like football where I risk tearing up my knees for life!

Yes. Cold, cranky, aimless - a bleak day indeed, good for settling down and growling at anyone who comes near. You are probably like me Allison, if you have down time you don't know what to do with it!

Lucky for Mikey he has school tonight! Although.... I may grab him when he comes home. With school, he's been very tired at nights, and we are pretty busy on the weekends, so our "romantic" clocks are not synchronized right now. Waaaaaaaaah!!!

Grrrrrr. This might just be the problem. Then again, it might also be the answer to my recent writer's block. Gotta channel it somewhere, I suppose! Hmmmmm......
