overclocking
Two practices back after ten days off and I'm feeling the burn. Until this morning I didn't realize it was possible to pull one's backside!
I shouldn't have done squats with the weights - or at least not that many - first week back. Especially with the continuing foot weirdness. I DID get arch supports, the kind you boil and then stand on for (some) custom fit. So far: no worse (no shooting cold up the sole of my foot), but not noticeably better (yet?) either. Perhaps a perfect excuse for breaking out the paraffin foot spa :P
In all seriousness, it's looking like the best way to fix my feet (and by extension, possibly my knee) is going to be a combination of orthotics and more conservative footwork. If you look at my photos you'll see that my feet are MUCH further apart than they need to be - leads to more weight on the feet, harder slamming on the floor, and frankly more work than is necessary. Baby steps, A., baby steps...
