(no subject)

It's getting up to 70F today. I've got my windows open and am barefoot and sleeveless.

And there is no such thing as global warning, nope, nuh-uh, no way </sarcasm>

Happy 12th Night!

These kinds of temperatures in January are just ridiculous. My daffodils are almost 6 inches high now. The lavender is growing, the azalea has buds!!!! Ohio is supposed to be buried in the white stuff right now, and we can't get even a flake. Sure glad we bought that snowblower last summer.

Well, to be utterly fair the temperatures in Baltimore and Washington aren't outside the historical variation. Since regular records began in 1883 there've been nine other such times when the warm weather hung around until sometime in January or February.

The true evidence for things being seriously out of whack is further north, up in northern Canada. That's where temperatures are significantly above any known historic values.

I think you two are living in the wrong states: Massive Colorado avalanche buries cars on highway (up here the Trans-Canada was closed by an avalanche and only re-opened a couple of days ago, and some of the other passes were also closed "just in case" ... better to not let people travel than have to dig them out)
