Slow evening.. catching up on phone calls and watching Westminster Dog Show with my cats.
Talked to one friend who is always an entertaining conversation. I don't talk to her nearly enough, but we are both busy/preoccupied, etc. Hopefully I'll be able to see her this summer.
Talked to my mom - the circus of weird job schedules and family crises never ends. I think they'd both like to get away for awhile, but I'm not sure when or if they will be able to do so. If this drags on much longer I may go visit them instead of the other way around.
I love Westminster Dog Show, and have since I was a kid. Yes, its more or less the same thing every year (I think even the announcers have been the same for the past 10 years or so), but its cool to look at all the weird dogs. Kisia appeared to be watching for a bit, but decided that dogs weren't interesting enough to be bothered with and went to pummel on Spice.
Unsentimental me has been so caught up with work and sewing for the past few days that I totally overlooked Kisia's 4th birthday last week. I know it's not like cats keep track of these things either but I'm slushy over my pets. D. and I pulled out a can of her favorite stinky catfood and a new toy out of the toy closet for her.
I should probably try to go to bed, but I'm just not tired yet. I'll give Westminster a few more minutes and call it a night.
