PSA: Beginning Sewing for Reenactors

Got this in my inbox today and thought I'd pass it on for the benefit of interested parties. Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with G Street Fabrics in any way.

Pardon the cross-posting, but for those in the DC/northern Virginia area,
G Street Fabrics is offering "Beginning Sewing for Reenactors" this fall.
The course is planned, as it says, for beginners and will teach basic
hand and machine sewing techiniques useful to 18th reenactors, as well as
working with patterns and fabric. Participants will work on a simple
unlined 18c shortgown (gentlemen may work on a shirt) using Janice Ryan's
pattern.

It will be held 6 Wednesday evenings from September 14 to October 19 in
the Falls Church store. The fee is $139 (full disclosure: I get paid for
teaching it). G St. requires a minimum of 4 registrants to hold the
course, so if you are interested, sign up at their website,
www.gstreetfabrics.com, or call 301-231-8998.

They did not give much notice on this (I just found out the dates a week
ago), so you have to act fast. If you are interested in the course but
cannot take it this fall, it would not hurt to let them know, so that
they will know there is interest out there is reenactor- land.
