I had the bonding on my front teeth sanded down today. It had stained over the years (18, if I'm remembering right) and didn't match the rest anymore - it was a case of can't hurt, might help, and it did help. Now I look a little less like a yellow-toothed donkey when I laugh :P
D. has done a wonderful job of cleaning up the basement - re-stacking the old textbooks and fixing the wire mesh "cart" that had collapsed under the weight. Sad to say, it took me awhile to notice. I have a terrible habit of being incredibly focused when I enter a room - if I'm going to sit on the sofa, I won't notice the chair, even if there's a purple Komodo dragon sitting in it. I need to work on this "blinkering" habit because D. really deserves more appreciation than I give him for what he does around the house.
Speaking of books, we have decided that it is time to thin the herd. This is a big deal as both of us have difficulty throwing out books, even when they are outdated/useless. We will be using half.com, but if anyone knows of places that would take things like "Consumer Reports Best Buys 1995" or "Used Car Guide 1998" let me know because it would spare us having to (shudder) destroy a book.
Shallow thought of the day - I totally agree. He might be nondescript enough to fit seamlessly into any scene or setting, but Affleck is just NOT sexy. Try again, People.
