my snow day
I stayed in! Our parking lot and sidewalks are finally shoveled, but I will still have to un-bury my car tomorrow morning.
Did some rounds on the exercise bike, worked on jewelry until the pliers began to hurt my hands, and watched a lot of tv. Drank hot chocolate, which I believe is the official drink of snow days everywhere. Also did some online Xmas shopping, and ended up adding stuff to my wish list anyway.
We brought in a plate of snow for the cats - thought about taking them out but decided against it on the grounds that if they chose to bolt in fear we would have a very hard time catching them. As it is, they were not too interested - after the customary tightening-spiral-of-curiosity approach they decided that frozen water wasn't anything they wanted.
Off to work tomorrow to do more ASP study in preparation for an upcoming application design. But DAMN, I wish I could just stay in and read and drink hot chocolate until February. I'm not depressed but I am lethargic and would prefer to chill until my brain wakes back up.
