Weekend

I struggled to stay awake most of the weekend. I've figured it out - it's not the lack of light that drains me, it's the cold - I curl up under a blanket in an attempt to get warm and get so comfortable I drift right off. Caffiene does squat to prevent this. It's when cold + lack of light adds up to lethargy and depression that things start to go bad.

Just got back from seeing Harry Potter in the theater.

Kenneth Branagh was painfully funny - as smug as the "Ace Rimmer" character from Red Dwarf, minus all of the sincerity! The spiders were realistic enough to make me want to scratch all over. Evil eye candy: Snape and Lucius Malfoy, the pairing that will spawn a thousand slash fics. I want the wizard dueling strip, with its' lovely gold phases of the moon! Draco is like a young Spike (from Buffy) only perhaps more evil because he offers absolutely no comic relief. And Ron and Hermoine are such a cute couple I could die (or will be, when they are older)! Let's say it together: Go Fawkes, Go Fawkes! (no, not that one - I mean Dumbledore's phoenix!)

Despite my body's attempt to hibernate I managed to hand stitch the lining around the zipper in this latest project and finish a(nother) book on the history of Factory Records. Considering their non-business practices, it is an absolute wonder that Factory lasted as long as it did.

Off to do last minute before-bed things and then to sleep.
