The weekend went rather well.
I have nearly completed the skirt for The Project; all it lacks is velcro fastenings. I am somewhat irritated that the teflon foot for my machine does not seem to be "catching" the vinyl correctly; I would have done more sewing but doing this much by hand will kill my wrists if I overdo it.
D. and I watched "The Bourne Identity" - the original with Richard Chamberlain and Jaclyn Smith from back in the early '80s. Advice - this is DEFINITELY a case where the remake is far, far superior to the original, a movie so full of plot holes and "Stockholm/Florence Nightingale syndrome"-fueled romance that it was laughable.
I also got to read - yes, read! I finished the Marie Antoinette book and "24 Hour Party People" - the latter being an easy and funny read. It was based on the script that became the movie so it matches in a lot of respects - in fact, some of it might not make sense if you didn't actually see the movie.
Hammered out some writing (more wrist torture) and picked up my larger pad of paper for drawing class on Tuesday (future wrist torture).
I also chatted with a friend who is currently living/working in Paris (lucky bastard!). He talked about visiting the art museums, walking by the Paris Miyake store (double bastard) and accidentally wandering into the fall fashion shows (triple bastard! Note that I mean "bastard" in the most affectionate way [dammit, Tony Wilson's writing style has invaded]).
I now have to take care of some bills and other stuff before I go to bed.
