quasi-crisis

It is time for a new sewing machine.

Yes, my 1990 model Kenmore has finally DIED. It is still stitching (!), but the timer is way out of whack (started this way today, and I have no idea why) and I figure I can either pay $100 to have the thing checked/tuned up/oiled again, or I can buy a new one.

I am currently checking the Sears site as I want another Kenmore - all of my older attachments/feet will still work with a newer model.

If at all possible I will pick this up tomorrow after work, or maybe even at lunch - being without a functioning sewing machine is like being without air - I simply cannot wait until the weekend.

I am still irritated and surprised at how pissed off I can get at the damn machine - I guess because I spent a half hour and at least 10 yards of thread trying to put in a ()*$@()!~ zipper - something that should be so damn easy..... I could live without the phone, the tv, yes, even the computer, but I MUST have my sewing machine.
